From the left: Dan
Lowe (D/2-7), Don Stoltz (KIA Dec. 4th, 1968), Mike "Mouse" McGhie and an
unknown Cavalier on R & R in An Khe October 1968. Don was killed along with Willie
Jones and Sgt. William C. Williams (shown in 1st photo on this page) in a place known as
"Chicken Valley" not far from LZ Rita. In all, we had 19 wounded and 3 killed
that day and according to the Company log we had 45 confirmed NVA KIA's.

This photo on LZ Rita
was taken January 18th, 1969 just 10 days before I was wounded. That's me on the left, Ed
Rivera and Ed Regan. Gil Carrillo and Ruben Rocha in the rear.

"Pepe" was KIA on 28Jan69 along with Warren "Snake" Eskridge in a
firefight near LZ Rita. Five were wounded Nick Donvito, Doc McGary, Paul Wadders, Jerry
White and Me.

Krueger's Jungle boots ("JB's"), gone after just three months of use. Note the
red clay earth, this photo was probably taken in Quan Loi.

Krueger sent me this photo of LZ Rita as we were taking over from the 1st Infantry
Division. They had Strawberry Ice Cream in those tanks.
